First step of the day for me after washing my face is to put on a sunscreen/moisturizer. I wish I had taken the advice to start using sunscreen on my face in my younger years. I already see the effects of not using sunscreen. So I HIGHLY recommend a sunscreen. I've used different sunscreens/moisturizers. This Neutrogena moisturizer works for me as it is light and non-oily feeling. It has an SPF of 15.2. If I have a little free time in the morning, I like to use a light shimmer eyeshadow on my lids. I feel that it gives me a fresh open eyed look. First, I use Urban Decay's potion primer in Sin and then I apply Smashbox's eyeshadow in a sheer pink tone all over my lids. I don't like to use white eyeshadow as it doesn't look very natural to me.
Next, I add my eyeliner. I could never leave my apartment without eyeliner, unless I'm feeling very lazy..v e r y l a z y. :) I love Bobbi Brown's gel liner in Black Ink. I love it so much all 4 of my sisters own one. Even my little brother. LOL.
4. After applying eyeliner, I like to soften up the harsh line with a little black eyeshadow. I use MAC's eyeshadow in Carbon.
5. Foundation! I've only recently started using foundation. I don't like to wear too much so I mostly focus on the areas that have redness on my face such as around my nostrils, and my cheek area. I like a little under my eyes as well. I carry Makeup Forever's HD Foundation in my professional kit, but I use Revlon's Colorstay Foundation. Revlon is just the drugstore version of Makeup Forever's HD Foundation. I love it because I can use my fingers to apply it on lightly.
6. Next, powder. After applying a little foundation, I like to set it with MAC's Studio Fix Powder. I love the flawless coverage it gives me on top of liquid foundation.
7. 2nd to the last step is blush. Right now, I'm using MACs Powder Blush in Plum Foolery. I'm trying to finish it up so I can purchase a different brand. :)
8. and then, if I remember, I apply some lipgloss. I love C.O. Bigelow's lip gloss. It's not too sticky, gives me a great shine, and it smells great!
